One big aspect that makes the open web work is having links to other websites. This typically happens through updates on a blog, or on social media. Many blogs also have a blogroll, a list of blogs they subscribe to.
Our new thing, Creator Recommendations, is more of the above. It helps further encourage linking to creators you enjoy or follow, with a system that gives you points towards getting recommended in return.
The goal is to both help support creator discovery, and help expand the indie web. One link at a time.
